I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to take photos for friends and family and I would say that’s as close as I can get to having a passion.
My favorite hobbies include photography, volunteering, learning new things, cooking and baking, listening to music, reading, walking outside, and traveling. But not to worry, I’m not much for public, online sap, so there won’t be much more than that! I also have a wonderful boyfriend who’s been amazing and in my life for almost 2 years now and I couldn’t be more thankful. Some from high school and some from college. I have a lot of acquaintances and few close friends, but my close friends mean the world to me. It’s more like the fact that I have to start adulting a lot more! I’ve never really been one to get homesick, so it’s not the leaving home that scares me. Although I’ll have two of my best friends living with me, which makes the move a little easier. I plan on moving to Green Bay this summer which is actually very terrifying. I’m studying animal biology and environmental science in hopes to one day work with and/or study marine mammals. I currently go to school at the University of Wisconsin- Green Bay. I’m originally from a very small town in northwestern Wisconsin called Milltown.
My parents have been divorced since I was 12 and it was one of the best things that happened to my family. I’m 20 years old as of tomorrow (February 7th, 2016.) I have 2 younger sisters and a younger brother. Long story short: there isn’t really a story behind it!Īlright, so for the first post, I’ve just decided to write about myself, sorry if that’s boring. As I said earlier, this is my online journal that I’m using to express my feelings about things or post my photography photos or even recipes because I love to bake and cook! So anyways, that’s the story behind the name of this blog. No, my posts won’t be about polka dots (at least not all the time!) but mostly the “other thoughts” part of the title. I love polka dots, so I figured it would be a good starting point. The first thing I want to address is the title of my blog… You may ask yourself “why ‘Polka Dots and Other Thoughts'”? Well, the answer to that is because I’m just terrible at coming up with names for things.
